After reading the forums the other day I came up with a brilliant plan for myself and my 5 newbie buddies to make some good cash. One jump away from where we had been mining there was one of those "Rogue Drone Infested Asteroid" complexes, and I had read that rare ores such as Omber can appear in such places. So, I round up the troops and we all head out there. I'm flying a Cormorant, we have 2 others in Merlins, an Osprey miner, a Bantam miner, and a Badger 2 to haul all our glorious loot out with.
With visions of easy money I go through the warpgate thing first, find a safe spot and let the rest know over Skype to come on through. Here's where we hit our first snag... apparently my buddy's Badger 2 is just too damn obese to get through the gate. OK, so much for a Badgerload of Omber, he runs back and gets his Bantam while I completely wtfpwn the drones (yeah I'm bad, I know).
After killing the drones and snagging a Tier 5 Personal Effects blah blah blah, I scan at 50,000 range and lo and behold, Omber. My buddies were at first skeptical, but now you could sense the excitement in the air, and it was off to the second area.
After obliterating all the drones and not getting much at all in the way of loot, we move on to the third area. There it is - Omber! We kill the drones here and start the mining jamboree. During the fight one of my buddies accidentally fired at me, and within a couple seconds was obliterated by Concord. 1 Merlin down, luckily he had a spare. I felt kind of bad because it was my fault - I had accidentally targeted him in the frenzy of battle but had not fired. He unfortunately didn't notice that his ship had went ahead and locked on me for locking on him, and continued his attack scheme.
In the end, the best loot we got was that Tier 5 thingy from the first area, selling for 180k. The original plan was to split the loot 6 ways, which we figured would be no big deal as we thought we'd have a Badgerload of Omber. As this wasn't the case I went ahead and donated the Tier 5 thingy to the buddy that lost his ship and only kept what little Omber I could stuff in my Cormy (I had it packed to the gills already with ammo, as I had no idea what I was getting into).
So, (sorry for the long read) this leads to a couple questions:
1. Can you set bookmarks within those Complexes and warp to them from outside? I didn't think of it until later, but my idea was for the miners to mine as much as they could, then warp to the Badger, unload, and warp via bookmark back to the Omber field. I kinda doubt it, but hey worth a shot.
2. Is there any preventative measures we could take as a team to avoid the Concord raping from friendly fire incidents? I mean, apart from the obvious "Don't shoot your buddies" answer.

1) As far as I know, only method into a deadspace is by the gate. If it's level 3 or above, you could try bringing an Exquoror (or whoever it's spelt). If Friggie, Minmatar Probes or Caldari Kestrels have generous cargo capacity.
2) Gangs do not suffer CONCORD penalty if you attack each other.
I know the grammar's a bit off, but I blame the late night for this. Hope they help and answer your question.

I thought gangs didn't get jacked by Concord, but he was in the gang when it happened. I know because he was the only one not on Skype, so I was conversing with him via the gang chat.

Concord does not take non-warring gang membership into consideration anymore.

I'm kinda confused... so, unless we are at war (which we would need to be incorporated for, right?) friendly fire in highsec regardless of gang affiliation and standing with each other will result in the Concord douche?
Is there a way to remove gang members from the overview? I tried the other night and it said something like "Remove Cruisers from overview?", which I took to mean it would just remove all cruiser-type ships from overview, which wouldn't work.

Was this from a Level I agent??
And by the way, there is a way to turn off auto targetting in the settings some where, Im not sure of exact area, bu tyou can find it very easily if you look, and turn it off or set it to only auto target a certain amount of incoming targets, etc.

If you want to pvp friendly, steal from each other's container.
To remove gang/corp/alliance/good people from overview go to the STATES filter.

Actually, just being in the same player corp will let you shoot (and pod ) each other.
Just don't try it with Alliance members.

if you have a couple of gallente flying pilots in yer group, get them to fly 2 exequeror cruisers, they get the best cargo capacity in the game for a cruiser when you fit em out with expanded cargo bays, usually between 1500-2000m3, they would also act as a wtfpwn defence against the 2-3 rat respawns you would get because of mining, or they can slap on a rack of mining lasers themselves to boost the yield

Yes there is and in fact your overview should be set up to show NO friendlies whatsoever, only wartargets and neautrals.
It would take too long to explain here but you can access the settings by right clicking on the littls arrow near the top of the overview window and selecting settings.
Then you can monkey around till only hostiles show up, there is currently no way to remove neautrals from it though.

1) You cannot do this for complexes, but you can do this for agent-issued deadspace missions. (There is a list on the forums somewhere, which lists the names of the missions which have Omber inside them).
Fly in, destroy enemies, mine like crazy. Load it all into jetcans and Bookmark the area. When you are done mining, return to the agent and either fail the mission (takes a standing hit) or tell him it's completed. (Must have completed the rest of the mission, obviously).
All remaining lootcans (including your mining jetcans) will drop from deadspace into "regular" space at the same bookmarked locations. Nip out with industrials and scoop 'em up.
That is mainly useful for mining in deadspace missions with multiple stages. You don't save much time if it's just a single gate.
2) To avoid a spanking from Concord, make sure you are all in the same corporation. (A player-corporation... not the newbie or NPC ones) Concord does not get involved with this combat.
Also, if you hit ESC to get to General Settings, you will find a setting you can change. It's called "Auto-target" or similar. You can enter a number in the box. If you feel inclined to turn this off, enter a 0 in there.
Normally this is used to automatically lock onto a target that has just locked onto you. It can be very useful, but as your friend found out... it can be devasting if you are not paying attention.

Yes this is useful for MISSIONS except hes talking about one of the respawning complex i.e.
3/10 rogue drone complex or any others , not about missions, so he cannot use an industrial at all.
the only method for this is to have some of the guys in cargo cruisers, i.e. exequerors, better yet if you really want to , all of you jump into one , with a full rack of miners and a full rack of cargo expanders, and simply haul yer own ore, then get the guy afterwards with the highest skill in refining to refine it for you, and split the ore.
